Tanya was born in Saskatchewan and moved here in 1999. In 2000 she completed her MOA/Office Assistant course.


Tanya has 11 years of experience working in Sport Medicine along the side of Sport Med Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists. In her free time, Tanya enjoys staying active and spending time with her two kids and husband.


Amanda was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After graduating Amanda has gained valuable experience with over 8 years of working in customer service-based fields from the service industry to being a receptionist for beauty salons, Amanda is new to the field with only 2 years of experience working in a Multidisciplinary and Sports Medicine Clinic, Amanda has found passion in health and wellness and is excited to work with Innovative Sports Medicine with hopes to pursue a career in the field when possible.

Outside of work, you can find Amanda spending time in the sun barbecuing with her friends, boyfriend and her family or at home baking and cooking everything she can. She also enjoys going to the gym, staying active and hopes to travel and experience the world.


Kathy has spent the majority of her career in office administration. Born and raised in Calgary, she graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education (Kinesiology) with a focus on athletic therapy and sports administration. Some of her early employment included administration at the Olympic Oval and then as an administrative assistant for Ken Read Consulting. While raising a family of 5 children, Kathy continued to work for the family business as office manager. She returned to the Health and Wellness field several years ago, working in dental and chiropractic offices.


Kathy enjoys being involved in the Calgary Arts scene and is a volunteer usher for several theatre companies. Other favourite pastimes include staying fit, skiing, hiking and travelling with her family, enjoying a great meal and reading a good book.


Ashleigh was born and raised in Alberta. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary and is currently working on her Bachelors of Education from Ambrose University.


Experience in caring-giving, customer service and a physiotherapy clinic caused Ashleigh to develop a passion to serve people. In her free time, she goes to the mountains where she hikes and rock climbs with her friends. She also enjoys spending time with her family, being active and exploring new places around the city.

Sonja Lake 
- administrative operations coordinator

Sonja was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Growing up, Sonja was a competitive ski racer and played volleyball and field hockey. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a specialization in Kinesiology from Queen’s University. At Queen’s, Sonja was involved with the Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare, the Queen’s Biomedical Innovation Team, and the Queen’s Ladies in Fitness Training clubs. Playing on sports teams, serving on executive committees, and working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, Sonja gained an appreciation for and desire to continuously learn about human mobility, accessibility, and injury treatment and prevention. Sonja is excited to be a part of the Innovative Sport Medicine team and surround herself with professionals devoted to health and wellness.


Sonja has completed her Avalanche Safety Training levels 1 and 2 and enjoys spending her winters exploring the backcountry and Fernie Alpine Resort. In the summer, Sonja loves mountain and road biking, and wake surfing. In her free time, Sonja also enjoys volunteering in the FMC Emergency department.
