Melissa grew up in Montreal and completed a degree in Hotel Management. She used this degree to work and travel the world. This is how she discovered her passion for food, nutrition and cooking. Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition to become a Registered Dietitian. She is dedicated to helping people, which has always shown through her continuous community involvement, both locally and globally.
It is very important to her that people have the education and tools required to live a healthier lifestyle. She is a proud nutrition advocate and a strong believer in preventing and treating medical conditions with healthy living education and specifically tailored diets. Melissa believes that real health starts with real food, and not only should it be easy, it should be tasty and fun too!

TANYA ATTON
- CLINIC MANAGER
Tanya was born in Saskatchewan and moved here in 1999. In 2000 she completed her MOA/Office Assistant course.
Tanya has 11 years of experience working in Sport Medicine along the side of Sport Med Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists. In her free time, Tanya enjoys staying active and spending time with her two kids and husband.
OMOTOLA ABIOLA
- PATIENT EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR
Tola was born in Nigeria but lived in various countries around the world prior to relocating to Calgary in 2018. She earned a BSc in Microbiology in 2017, then obtained a Medical Office Assistant diploma in 2021. She gained a year of experience in two physiotherapy clinics before joining Innovative in 2022.
Outside of work, Tola is a culinary artist who loves cooking, baking, photography, and spending time with her family.
AMY Dhaliwal
PATIENT EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR
Amy was born and raised in Calgary where she grew up playing soccer competitively. Amy then completed her diploma in medical office assistant in 2023, where she gained experience working in two physiotherapy clinics.
Outside work, Amy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to watch sporting events, playing soccer and traveling
