Leaders In Research
We have strong partnerships locally and internationally in a number of areas.
Dr. Meeuwisse is the founding Chair of the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre at the University of Calgary, which is one of the original 4 Research Centres in the world supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He has a 26 year academic track record as a leader in sport injury prevention. He served for 14 years as the Editor-in-Chief of the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine and has been Co-Chair of the International Consensus conferences on Concussion in Sport.
Our clinics maintain a strong linkage with sport injury prevention studies in the Calgary Community, such as research collaborations with the University of Calgary.
We also implement the latest knowledge in clinical care. One example is sport-related concussions where we adopt the latest international consensus on diagnosis and treatment. Read the consensus here.
As stated in our name, our goal is to innovate, so that our patients benefit from the latest treatment, grounded in sound scientific evidence and novel in its method of delivering the best health care.
Current Research Projects:
