Dr. Kelly Brett - Sport Medicine Physician BSc, MD, CCFP (SEM), Dip Sport Med (CASEM)
Dr. Brett began his career as a medical officer in the Canadian Forces including service with the United Nations in the former Yugoslavia. He has been practicing sport and exercise medicine for 20 years and has been a team physician for the Calgary Flames, the Calgary Hitmen and the Calgary Cannons. He has also traveled internationally with Hockey Canada and the Canadian Men’s Rugby team as well as covering amateur sporting events in his home town of Calgary. Dr. Brett has a special interest in childhood physical activity and has been actively promoting healthy lifestyles for children for two decades. His practice involves the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries in patients of all ages and athletic abilities. He has also completed a certificate program as a personal fitness trainer.
Dr. Willem (Winne) Meeuwisse - Sport Medicine Physician MD, MPE, PhD, CCFP(SEM), Dip Sport Med
Dr. Meeuwisse is a sport medicine physician and is the Medical Director of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is also an Expert Member, Medical and Scientific Group of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Medical Commission.
He obtained his Medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and then did a Fellowship in Sport Medicine at the University of British Columbia, where he also completed a Master’s degree in exercise physiology. Upon coming to Calgary he obtained his PhD in clinical epidemiology, focusing on sport injury prediction and prevention. He went on to receive his CASEM Diploma in Sport Medicine and a CFPC Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Dr. Meeuwisse is the founder of the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, which was one of the original 4 research centres in the world recognized by the IOC. He currently serves as a Senior Associate Editor of the British Journal of Sports Medicine -Injury Prevention and Health Protection. He enjoys cycling, cross country skiing and just about any outdoor activity; preferably with family and friends.
Dr. Marcus Robinson - Sport Medicine Physician BEng, MEng, MD, CCFP (SEM), Dip Sport Med
Dr. Marcus Robinson is a former engineer and a current Sport Medicine Physician practicing in Calgary, Canada. He earned his first degree in Materials Engineering from the University of British Columbia before working as a design engineer for IBIS Cycles in Santa Rosa, California. Following that, he shifted his focus to the aerospace industry working on projects for the Boeing Company and NASA.
Dr. Robinson then pursued a Master’s Degree in Biomechanics and Biomechanical Engineering and worked in biomechanics labs in Vancouver and in Hong Kong. Upon returning to Canada, Dr. Robinson was able to transfer his skills in motion capture to the entertainment industry. He was the motion capture studio lead for several movies and video games including Barbie: the Princess and the Pauper, Stuart Little 3, and Tony Hawk.
Dr. Robinson completed Medical School at UBC, his residency in Family Medicine in Calgary, and a fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine in Calgary. As a Sport Medicine Physician, he is the Chief Medical Officer for the Calgary Roughnecks (2014 - present), Team Physician for the Calgary Stampeders (2015 - present), and Team Physician for the Calgary Hitmen (2015 - present). He has also been part of the core medical team for multi-sport games including the PanAm Games (Toronto 2015), FISU World University Games (Taiwan 2017, Korea 2015, China 2011), and Canada Games (Prince George 2015, Sherbrooke 2013).
In his spare time, Dr. Robinson enjoys crate digging for records to add to his collection of 60’s soul records, wearing out his granny gear on mountain passes, and exploring the city 42.2 km at a time.
Dr. Cory Wowk - Sport Medicine Physician MD, CCFP, Dip Sport Med
Dr. Cory Wowk is a sports medicine physician from Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Wowk completed his medical studies at the University of Calgary. His sports medicine and injury management experiences include over 10 years of working directly with the orthopedic surgeons at the hospitals in Calgary (orthopedic resident extender) and 9 years in working as physician for the Calgary Fire Department where he manages many acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and challenges. Previously, he received his first degree in education and taught junior high for two years before transitioning to medical school, where he uses his teaching skills in his practice.
His highlights as physician include: 2017-18 Gold Medal Hockey Canada World Junior Men’s Team Physician, Okotoks Dawgs Team Physician, Hockey Canada Men's National Para Ice Hockey Team Physician, 2016 Hockey Canada Men's World Championship Under 18 team and the 2014 Hockey Canada Men's World Under 17 teams. He has worked with various other local teams in the past as well.

Morris Boyer - Certified Athletic Therapist/Clinic Director BPE, CAT(C)
Morris is an Athletic Therapist (AT) who has helped numerous elite athletes recover from their injuries over his career, in clinics and with teams. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education majoring in Athletic Training and Conditioning and also a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(C).
Morris served as AT for Hockey Canada Men's teams at the 2018 Winter Olympics; the IIHF World Championships 2003, 2010 & 2013 and the 2017 & 2018 Spengler Cup. Previously, he spent 18 years in the NHL as an Athletic Therapist. In 2012, he worked as AT at the NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa. He has worked over 1300 regular season NHL games.
Upon graduation, Morris worked with Volleyball Canada, for the National Men’s Volleyball team, the Canadian Professional Rodeo Sport Medicine Team, Edmonton Brick Men Soccer Club, Red Deer College, Durham College and was a member of the AT staff for World University Games and PAN-AM Games.
Morris has a passion for corrective exercise and hands-on manual therapy.
Eli Silva - Physiotherapist/Clinic Director PT, BScPT, CMT, Dry Needling
Eli is a Brazilian trained physio and has been practicing physio in Calgary for many years. Eli got his bachelor in physiotherapy from the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health), Salvador, Brazil in 2005. He has taken Kinetacore Functional dry needling level 1 and is a certified manipulative therapist through Swodeam Institute. He is also trained in Global Postural Reeducation(GPR) in Brazil were he held a private practice before moving with his family to Canada.(GPR) is a specific physiotherapy approach based on the Mézières method and further developed by French physiotherapist Philippe E. Souchard. This French founded system focuses on correcting body mechanics and muscle imbalances via releasing and unwinding muscle chains in the body.
Eli is very enthusiastic about functional rehabilitation, educating his clients and walking with them as he empowers and enables them to get back to their health and enjoy life to their fullest. He has over 8 years of martial arts experience and currently trains in HapKiDo. He likes to play soccer and volleyball. In his spare time Eli loves to barbecue (Brazilian style) for his friends and family, and spend time with his lovely wife and 3 boys.
Dr. Puja Chopra - Sport Medicine Physician BSc, MD, FRCPC, Dip Sport Med
Dr. Chopra is a Calgary based Emergency Physician who also specializes in Sports Medicine. She completed her medical training at the University of Calgary Medical school and then completed her Post-Graduate Medical Residency in Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine in Calgary as well. Dr. Chopra enjoys teaching medical students and residents in her role as clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary in Undergraduate Medicine. Her credentials include; Fellowship in Emergency Medicine, Diploma of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science Double Honors.
Dr. Chopra has a special interest in acute sports injuries, musculoskeletal assessment, team sports, and women in sports medicine.
Dr. Darrell Yip - Sport Medicine Physician BScPT, MD, CCFP, Dip Sport Med
Dr. Darrell Yip is a Sport Medicine Physician practicing in Calgary, Alberta. He earned his first degree in physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia and has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for acute stroke and rehabilitation patients. In addition to his work in the hospital, Dr Yip worked as a physiotherapist in an outpatient setting providing care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries. He was also involved in providing home care physiotherapy for patients with mobility impairments.
Darrell completed Medical School at the University of British Columbia with a residency in Family Medicine through the University of Calgary. He has obtained the CASEM Diploma in Exercise and Sport Medicine. As a Sport Medicine Physician, he has worked with a variety of organizations and sports including: Canada Men’s National Rugby Union Team, Canada Men’s National Para Hockey Team, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Roughnecks, and Calgary Combative Sports Commission (mixed martial arts, boxing, and kickboxing).
Dr. Yip has been involved with sport since a young age and was a member of the Canadian Men’s Junior National Field Hockey Team and University of British Columbia Men’s Varsity Field Hockey Team. He is a NCCP certified level 3 coach and has worked with athletes at the local, provincial, and national levels.
Dr. Chris Lipp - Emergency/Sport Medicine Physician MD, FRCPC, CASEM & IOC Dip. Sport Med.
In addition to Innovative, Chris works in the Emergency Departments in Calgary (FMC/SHC) and volunteers at sporting events or ski hills around Calgary. He was born and raised in Calgary, where he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Medical School (2013). He completed his FRCP Emergency Medicine and Fellowship in Sports Medicine in Victoria BC. He has completed the CASEM Diploma in Sports Medicine as well as the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Medicine.
His interests are in paediatric sports medicine, wilderness/austere medicine, ultrasound and medical education. He is a native Calgarian and avidly loves trail running, nearly every sport, and any mountain adventure - preferably off any marked trail.
Dr. Anene Cheung - Sport Medicine Physician BSc, MD, CCFP(SEM), Dip Sport Med (CASEM)
Dr. Anene Cheung is a Sport Medicine Physician who started her practice at the Pan Am Clinic in Winnipeg, Canada. She obtained her undergraduate degree in genetics and medical degree from the University of Manitoba. She completed a Family Medicine residency in rural Manitoba and then a Fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Pan Am Clinic. She obtained her certificate of added competence in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada and her CASEM diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine. She worked at the Sport Medicine Department at Pan Am Clinic as a full time Sport Medicine Physician until she moved to Calgary in 2019. She is enjoying the outdoor lifestyle the city of Calgary and surrounding areas provide.
Wendy Coombs - Physiotherapist
Wendy Coombs is the current owner of Momentum Health and Evidence Sport and Spine, a growing group of inter-collaborative multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinics in Calgary. She is the past Learning Chair and President Elect for the Entrepreneurs Organization. She is on the boards of the Alberta Women Entrepreneurs and Calgary Entrepreneurs Organization. Previously she was an owner and CEO of Advantage Health. She has grown fourteen separate businesses from a single sole charge physiotherapy clinic into medical centers offering physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, Physiatry, sport and spinal medicine, psychology, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine, kinesiology, personal training, and retail goods. She has developed stand-alone rehabilitation centers as well as clinics integrated into medical centers offering family medicine, dental, and optical services. She is a prior Dale Carnegie trainer. She enjoys educating and mentoring physiotherapy private business owners from across Canada as part of the Private Practice Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has been a member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization since 2005. She has two Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. She was a finalist for the RBC 2009 Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Award in the Trailblazer category.
Shaun Macauley - Physiotherapist PT, BMRPT, CAFCI, CGIMS
Shaun received his Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba. Shaun is fortunate to have worked across a broad range of rehabilitation spanning from providing injury prevention lectures to youth athletics, injury management for numerous sporting events, to the treatment of chronic back pain. Shaun passionately directs his time to improving patient care collaboration not only within the Momentum, Evidence and Innovative Models, but also across our public and private healthcare systems. Shaun also enjoys mentoring recently graduated Physiotherapists & Kinesiologists. Shaun has completed his designations in Spinal & Peripheral manipulation, Diagnostic Imaging, Acupuncture, and Intramuscular Stimulation including Gunn IMS.
Charley Hasselaar - Certified Athletic Therapist BKin, CAT(C)
Charley Hasselaar is a Certified Athletic Therapist from Calgary Alberta. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Athletic Therapy in 2016. She is currently an Athletic Therapist with the Calgary Inferno and has experience working with a variety of sports teams including the University of Calgary Dino’s Football team, Women’s Soccer team and wrestling. She also has experience with various hockey, rugby and lacrosse teams in Alberta.
Throughout her undergraduate degree and into her early career she worked at the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre as a Clinical Research Coordinator with a strong focus on Concussion research. As well, she worked as a Non-Physician Expert at the Acute Sport Concussion Clinic at the University of Calgary assessing sport related concussion patients. Charley has a passion for injury assessment and developing a multi-disciplinary approach for each individual patients needs, to ensure that they have a safe return to their sport and activities of daily living. In her spare time, she enjoys barrel racing, playing soccer and anything to do with being in the mountains.
Josh Guenther - Certified Athletic Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist BKin, CAT(C), ATC, CSCS
Josh Guenther is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist originating from Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2012, he graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Athletic Therapy. Some of Josh's internships included working with the University of Manitoba men's hockey and basketball teams, as well as completion of an internship with the Winnipeg Jets hockey club during the 2012-2013 season. Josh has spent the last four years working with various hockey teams and organizations, having responsibilities that included a strong focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, first aid and emergency care. From 2013-2016, Josh assumed the position of Head Athletic Therapist for the WHL-Brandon Wheat Kings, who captured a WHL Championship and advanced to the Memorial Cup during that time period. In 2014-2015, he was also appointed as Head Athletic Therapist for Team WHL in the Canada-Russia Super Series Summit.
In 2016-2017, Josh relocated to Alberta to assume the role of Head Athletic Therapist for the WHL-Red Deer Rebels hockey club. Additionally in 2016, Josh also had the privilege of being named Head Athletic Therapist for Hockey Canada at the U17 World Hockey Challenge in Sault St.Marie, Ontario.
Josh believes in a health model that consists of a multi-disciplinary approach with regards to assessment, treatment and correction of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in both acute and chronic settings. Meredith Papps - Certified Athletic Therapist BSc., CAT(C), CSCS
Meredith Papps is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist originally from Kingston, Ontario. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Tulsa, in Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, and was also a 4 year Division I athlete on the women’s rowing team. When she wasn’t out on the water Meredith worked as a student Athletic Therapist with Tulsa’s Soccer, Track & Field, Volleyball, and Football teams.
From 2014-2018 Meredith worked at Lifemark Health, where she rehabilitated injured workers and coordinated their safe and sustainable return to work. While there she gained experience in rehabilitation for firefighters and police officers, assisting in a safe return to physically demanding service careers. Meredith is passionate about injury education and function, and values a strong team approach to rehab and care. Outside of work Meredith enjoys running, playing soccer, and drinking coffee.
Long Kim (Ken) Nguyen - Physiotherapist PT, BKin, MScPT, CSEP-CEP
After graduating from the University of Calgary in 2010 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, Ken spent three years as a personal trainer at the UofC as well as performing fitness evaluations and pre-class physical training prep with the Calgary Police Service fitness unit. He went on to complete his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2016. Since starting his practice, Ken has completed Level 1 Manual Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopedic Division, along with Level 1 Acupuncture and certified in Biomedical Dry Needling. He looks forward to obtaining his Certificate in Manipulative Therapy this fall. In his spare time, Ken enjoys cycling, weight-lifting and rock climbing.
Lindsey Walker - Physiotherapist PT, MSc.PT, B.HKin
Lindsey graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy after completing a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University. Since starting her practice, she has completed Kinetacore Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and Level 1 Manual Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division. Prior to her career in physiotherapy, Lindsey worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and continues to integrate her knowledge of exercise and movement retraining into her daily practice. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys Olympic Weightlifting, golfing, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
Tzvetelina (Svety) Tchilinguirova - Physiotherapist PT, Msc PT, Bsc Kin
Tzvetelina (Svety) obtained her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta, and prior to this a Kinesiology degree (BSc) from the University of Guelph. Svety has a keen interest in working with people who are motivated to reach their goals. Her approach to treatment centres around looking at clients from a whole person perspective rather than just treating the injured body part. Svety values educating her clients about their injuries with the goal of making them feel empowered to be an active and engaged participant in their rehabilitation journey. Along the way, Svety has taken numerous certification/courses in dry needling and manual therapy. And she has gained clinical interest in treating shoulder, running, and tendinopathy injuries. Outside of work Svety enjoys trail running, rock climbing and hiking.
Jessie Dalton - Physiotherapist PT, CAT(C), ATC, MScPT, BAHSc(AT), BScK
Jessie grew up in London, Ontario and recently returned from Scotland, UK after completing her MSc in Physiotherapy. Jessie has been a Certified Athletic Therapist since 2013 and has Bachelors degrees in Athletic Therapy and Kinesiology. Previous to completing her Physiotherapy degree she worked as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Acadia University Football program and was a part-time faculty member in their School of Kinesiology and also worked at the University of Guelph as the Assistant Athletic Therapist with the Football program.
She has experience working with a variety of clientele including but not limited to professional, university and recreational athletes along with those looking to get back to activities of daily life. Her treatment approach aims to allow you to be as active as possible throughout your recovery while integrating the use of manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription and when required, athletic or kinesio-taping. She also spends spare time working with sports teams and at events in the community providing Athletic Therapy coverage. Outside of work Jessie is passionate about travelling and staying active with weightlifting and participating in recreational sports including football, skiing, baseball and volleyball.
Loring Derry - Physiotherapist PT, BA (Hons), MScPT

Loring completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2014, following her BA (Honours) at the University of Victoria in 2010. She has achieved her Level III certification in manual therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopedic Division. She is also certified in functional dry needling.
Loring is a former National-level Rhythmic Gymnast and is proud to have competed at the Canada Games and at events in Bulgaria and the USA. Her experience as a former athlete has fueled her passion for helping others improve their health through movement. Loring is passionate about treating chronic and complex spinal conditions. She is especially interested in treating chronic injuries related to dance and the performing arts. Loring is excited to work amongst the team of practitioners at Innovative Sport Medicine Seton.
Shari Macdonald - Physiotherapist PT, MSc, BScPT, (Gunn) IMS
Shari is a Registered Physical Therapist with 20 years of clinical experience. She has completed post-graduate certifications in sport, acupuncture, IMS and manual therapy. In 2013, she completed a MSc in Biomechanics. Shari enjoys educating people about injury prevention. Her clinical practice focuses on addressing poor biomechanical movement patterns, imbalances in strength and flexibility and improving core stability to keep an active population doing what they love. Shari is currently a board member of Run Calgary (Calgary Marathon Society.)
Lori Fitzpatrick - Physiotherapist, Gunn IMS Practitioner BPE, BHScPT, FCAMPT, CGIMS
With over 23 years of clinical experience, Lori provides evidence based and innovative physiotherapy services. She has worked with people of all ages with various musculoskeletal / orthopaedic injuries.
Lori graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) degree from the University of Calgary in 1991. She was also a member of the varsity women’s soccer team and received the Gauntlet Sports Extra Effort Award and was named one of the Top Ten Academic Athletes at that time. She obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Physiotherapy (BHScPT) from McMaster University in 1996. Upon completion of her degree, she went on to take numerous post graduate courses. In 2000, she completed her Intermediate Manual Therapy exam (Part A) and obtained her Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) certification. She had the pleasure of taking the course by the founder himself, Dr. Chan Gunn. She achieved the highest level of Manual Therapy certification, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2002. In 2016, Lori completed the Diagnostic Imaging course for physiotherapists from the University of Alberta.
Lori uses a combination of manual therapy, IMS, exercise prescription and education to help her clients achieve their goals and to live their best life possible. She enjoys the challenge that each new case presents and offers specialized physiotherapy solutions to meet her clients' individual and unique needs. In her free time, Lori enjoys spending time with her family, participating as a coach in their athletic pursuits and has been known to call the off leash park her happy place.
Heather Curilla - Physiotherapist PT, BSc
Heather is a physiotherapist with a diverse practice and interests in several areas. Heather has many years of experience as a physiotherapist in Calgary. She has taken numerous post- graduate courses and continues to develop her practice to offer new and innovative treatments to clients. Heather is a certified Gunn IMS practitioner, and resident of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Currently, Heather has expanded her repertoire of rehabilitation and exercise prescription by working with the Redcord suspension system. This Norwegian founded system is effective for treating injuries by activating core muscles, correcting muscle imbalances and offering progressive strengthening through the use of the systems bungees and ropes. Heather firmly believes that once pain or injury is under control, that one has to integrate new movements and strategies to keep up with the rest of their body. After all, life goes on. In her spare time, Heather is an avid and addicted golfer, and enjoys jogging, and making glass beads and jewelry.
Talia Campbell - Physiotherapist PT, BKin, MSc, MSc PT
Talia graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2016. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Kinesology as well as a Masters of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary where she specialized in the clinical gait analysis of injured runners. Since starting her practice, she has completed Level 1 Kinetacore Dry Needling and Level 1 Manual Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division. In her spare time Talia enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Taylor Jones - Physiotherapist PT, MScPT
Taylor is a graduate of the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta, and is passionate about working with patients from all walks of life to help them reach their full potential. Stemming from experience in many different practice settings with varied patient populations, including varsity, professional, and recreational athletes, injured workers, and burn survivors, Taylor uses a varied and individualized approach to treating patients and helping them reach their goals. Prior to pursuing a Masters degree in physiotherapy, Taylor was educated in Jazz studies at Vancouver Island University and in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. He has since completed specialized continuing education courses through divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, including Orthopedic Division Level 1 Manual Therapy. Taylor is also involved in sleep research with collaborators at the University of Alberta and the University of Southern Denmark.
In his free time, Taylor enjoys staying active with weight lifting, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and gymnastics training. He is also an A-licence holder with the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association, and enjoys spending time diving in the vast Alberta skies honing his canopy piloting skills.
Bryan Lentz - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Bryan Lentz, former Calgary Flame massage therapist, has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since successfully completing his Massage Therapy course in 1996, and has had the privilege of working with athletes of all levels for the majority of his career. Bryan obtained his Physical Education degree from Augustana University College, where he worked as the Trainer with the A.U.C. Vikings Hockey Team. After graduating he then spent two seasons as Head Trainer with the Olds Grizzlys (AJHL), winning the Centennial Cup National Championship in 1993-94. He then went on to study Therapeutic Massage and has been focussed on massage since.
Bryan served as the massage therapist with the Calgary Flames Hockey Team for 15 seasons, the last 10 years as a full-time, travelling member of the medical team. During this time he had the opportunity to work with a vast range of management and coaching staff, a very talented group of medical personnel, and hundreds of NHL, Minor League, and Junior players.
Although hockey has been his main focus, Bryan was invited to work for the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Team's training camp, preseason games, and selected regular season games. This was a great experience working with a different group of athletes. Bryan continues to provide massage therapy treatments in a clinical setting, for athletes and the general public, helping clients achieve their goals of accelerated rehabilitation, recovery, and improved performance.

Rocco Cambareri - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Born and raised in Italy, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology graduating on the Dean's list in Sicily, Rocco's Canadian journey started almost 4 years ago. He obtained his 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma here in Calgary. Rocco uses a variety of therapeutic techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial cupping, trigger point release and PNF, to treat soft tissue injuries and dysfunctions, and for overall maintenance and performance. Rocco loves learning about the functional movements of the human body. His involvement in playing and coaching sports has helped him to better understand the connection between inefficient movement patterns and their negative impact on the body. Barb has been a registered massage therapist since 1997, when she graduated with an Honours Diploma from Kikkawa College. Barb believes a thorough assessment is an important step to providing individualized and effective treatment. Her skillful hands deliver a deep soft tissue massage enhanced with such techniques as myofascial and trigger point releases, joint mobilization, PNF stretching, neuromuscular therapy, manual lymph drainage and craniosacral therapy. Bobbi-Jo is a retired member of Canada’s National women’s hockey team. She is a two-time NCAA Division I National Champion, a former RBC Olympian, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a High School Teacher. Bobbi-Jo graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy here in Calgary and is very excited for the opportunity to work at Innovative Sport Medicine clinic where she feels that she can make an impactful difference. Tara Hogan - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
In 2007 Tara began her journey into the field of manual therapy. This was a change in the direction of her corporate career, but something that had been a long time in coming. As a As a Registered Massage Therapist and Manual Osteopathy Practitioner, she brings over 12 years experience to this field, from clinical practice, to on site events and teaching Massage Therapy and a variety of other modalities. Over the years she has continued to expand her own learning with a variety of seminars, readings and completing her 2200hrs Orthopedic Massage Diploma and Manual Osteopathy Studies in 2017 with the Turner Institute.

Timothy Licudine - Registered Massage Therapist RMT, CSEP-CPT, BSc.Kin
Tim graduated from the University of Calgary in 2010 with his BSc in Mind Sciences in Kinesiology. During that time, he also pursued certification as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP). He has been working as a personal trainer since. Tim has been intrigued with massage therapy since he was in junior high. The opportunity to return to his interest in massage therapy in his adult years has been quite a blessing for him.
In 2016, Tim completed his 3000-hour massage therapy diploma in order to complement the work he was doing as a personal trainer. He believes that physical health is so dynamic that it requires multiple views and disciplines in order to bring about the best results for his clients. He loves the concept of being part of a collaborative health team such as Innovative Sports Medicine, where all the facets of health can be approached and address in so many ways. Though having no formal training in dance, he enjoys dancing in his spare time and believes that dancing is a simple cure to feeling young. Dr. Corrado Cultrera completed a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999 with a special focus on Sports Performance and Injury Prevention in the youth athlete. Dr. Cultrera has received advanced training in soft tissue injury management and is fully credentialed in Active Release Techniques®, Graston Technique®, FAKTR-PM®, Kinesiotaping and Custom Foot Orthotics. Dr. Cultrera focuses on Athlete Optimization and Youth Injury Prevention. He has worked with AVP Professional and Collegiate volleyball players, the Toronto Argonauts, BC Lions, and has been part of the ART® treatment team at the Ironman Canada triathlon. Dr. Cultrera is an active member of the triathlon community and Vice president of the Kronos Youth High Performance Triathlon club.

Dr. Katie MacDonald completed her Bachelor of Science in natural science at the University of Calgary with concentrations in biology and chemistry. Her interests in sports and the medical field led her to move to Portland, Oregon to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in human biology at the University of Western States. She is focused on educating her patients to give them the tools they need to be at their optimal health and peak athletic performance. She is a native Calgarian who grew up playing various sports with different clubs in the city. She uses her personal experiences with injury to enhance her understanding of how to modify training around injuries and pain. Clinical practicum has given her more rehab experience and involvement in providing integrated care as part of a multidisciplinary team. She enjoys helping her patients get back to functioning normally and pain free by utilizing a variety of soft tissue techniques, taping, functional rehab, diversified and activator adjustments to improve her patients’ active lifestyles.

Dr. Sarah Gajecki completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Queen’s University. She graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Throughout her education, Dr. Gajecki was a trainer for numerous hockey teams. She is also certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Athletic Movement Assessment, Movement Assessment and Palpation and Integrated Patterning. Rich Hasketh - Athletic Development Coach BPhEd
Rich Hesketh is on the leading edge of Athletic Development and Strength & Conditioning. He has worked for 25 years with elite hockey players, 19 of which were with the Calgary Flames Hockey Club. His Athlete Development model has been employed to help produce Stanley Cup, Olympic and World Champions.
He has been working in the fitness industry since graduating from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree in 1987 and has been involved in coaching at all levels in track and field since 1984. Rich represented Canada on eleven national track and field teams in the Decathlon. He competed at the Commonwealth Games on two occasions, represented Canada at the Pan American Games and is a 5-time Canadian Champion in Combined Events
In his stable of athletes are professional golfers Kelly Tan (LPGA and Olympian 2016), Louise Stahle, Swedish Symetra tour pro and local professional Daniel Pow.
Also, Rich works with The University of Calgary Dino National Champion Men’s as well as the Women’s Basketball teams as their Head Athletic Development coach. He has worked with high level athletes in sports from Professional Baseball, Tennis and Golf through to Amateur Track and Field, Badminton, Volleyball, Figure Skating and even Body Building
He is a member of the Under Armour Training team and is a brand ambassador for their product.
Rich has coached thousands of high performance athletes and combines his degree knowledge along with experience as an elite combined events athlete and 19 year career in the NHL to create one of the most comprehensive and results oriented athletic training programs in the world.
Nikola Snodgrass - Kinesiologist BKin.
Nikola Snodgrass is a registered Kinesiologist from Kamloops, BC. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree as a student athlete competing five-years with the UBC Thunderbirds varsity Ice Hockey team. Nikola has worked within Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) league with Thompson Rivers University soccer, basketball and volleyball teams and has experience working with Ice Hockey & Lacrosse teams across British Columbia.
Nikola has a passion for functional movement conditioning and acute injury rehabilitation for high performance athletes. She also has experience with acute post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation and outpatient injury prevention programming and assessment for geriatric populations living with chronic conditions. In her spare time Nikola enjoys playing recreation sports, running, hiking and anything to do with being in the outdoors.
Melissa Goldsmith - Registered Dietician
Melissa grew up in Montreal and completed a degree in Hotel Management. She used this degree to work and travel the world. This is how she discovered her passion for food, nutrition and cooking. Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition to become a Registered Dietitian. She is dedicated to helping people, which has always shown through her continuous community involvement, both locally and globally.
It is very important to her that people have the education and tools required to live a healthier lifestyle. She is a proud nutrition advocate and strong believer in preventing and treating medical conditions with healthy living education and specifically tailored diets. Adam Wasylyshyn - Strength and Conditioning Specialist BSc, MKin, CSEP-CEP, CSCS, All-Canadian (track and field)
After moving from North Vancouver to Calgary in 2007, Adam studied at the University of Calgary’s Human Performance Lab, obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees in exercise physiology. Highlights of his time at the U of C included being named an All-Canadian while competing for the Dinos track and field team and interning with the Calgary Flames as a strength and conditioning coach. Following graduation, Adam worked as an Applied Sport Scientist in Vancouver, where he designed and implemented training programs for hockey, soccer, bobsleigh, road cycling, masters track and field and Red Bull athletes. Adam began working with tactical athletes from the Burnaby and Coquitlam Fire Departments in 2017, and returned to Calgary to complete a year working in the Wellness Clinic of the Calgary Fire Department.
Adam joins us with an enthusiasm for building strength in endurance athletes, and helping answer the question “how much should I be training?”. With a strong background in the science of strength and conditioning coaching, Adam is excited to expand the scope of care offered at Innovative and is looking forward to helping you reach your wellness and fitness goals. When not in the clinic, you can find Adam on the ski hill or in the kitchen trying to perfect his pad thai recipe (the secret is in the tamarind sauce).

Marjorie is Philippine-born Chinese and immigrated to Canada as a toddler. After attending MRU and earning her Diploma, Marjorie remained busy raising her four children and volunteering extensively. With over 20 years of experience as a senior level executive assistant and an expertise in Project and Administrative Coordination in Health Care environments, Marjorie looks forward to working with the patients and health care professionals at Momentum Health and Innovative Sport Medicine.
