Adam Wasylyshyn - Strength and Conditioning Specialist BSc, MKin, CSEP-CEP, CSCS, All-Canadian (track and field)
After moving from North Vancouver to Calgary in 2007, Adam studied at the University of Calgary’s Human Performance Lab, obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees in exercise physiology. Highlights of his time at the U of C included being named an All-Canadian while competing for the Dinos track and field team and interning with the Calgary Flames as a strength and conditioning coach. Following graduation, Adam worked as an Applied Sport Scientist in Vancouver, where he designed and implemented training programs for hockey, soccer, bobsleigh, road cycling, masters track and field and Red Bull athletes. Adam began working with tactical athletes from the Burnaby and Coquitlam Fire Departments in 2017, and returned to Calgary to complete a year working in the Wellness Clinic of the Calgary Fire Department.
Adam joins us with an enthusiasm for building strength in endurance athletes, and helping answer the question “how much should I be training?”. With a strong background in the science of strength and conditioning coaching, Adam is excited to expand the scope of care offered at Innovative and is looking forward to helping you reach your wellness and fitness goals. When not in the clinic, you can find Adam on the ski hill or in the kitchen trying to perfect his pad thai recipe (the secret is in the tamarind sauce).
