Bryan Lentz - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Bryan Lentz, former Calgary Flame massage therapist, has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since successfully completing his Massage Therapy course in 1996, and has had the privilege of working with athletes of all levels for the majority of his career. Bryan obtained his Physical Education degree from Augustana University College, where he worked as the Trainer with the A.U.C. Vikings Hockey Team. After graduating he then spent two seasons as Head Trainer with the Olds Grizzlys (AJHL), winning the Centennial Cup National Championship in 1993-94. He then went on to study Therapeutic Massage and has been focussed on massage since.
Bryan served as the massage therapist with the Calgary Flames Hockey Team for 15 seasons, the last 10 years as a full-time, travelling member of the medical team. During this time he had the opportunity to work with a vast range of management and coaching staff, a very talented group of medical personnel, and hundreds of NHL, Minor League, and Junior players.
Although hockey has been his main focus, Bryan was invited to work for the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Team's training camp, preseason games, and selected regular season games. This was a great experience working with a different group of athletes. Bryan continues to provide massage therapy treatments in a clinical setting, for athletes and the general public, helping clients achieve their goals of accelerated rehabilitation, recovery, and improved performance.
Jennifer Fleiger - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Jennifer is a registered massage therapist with over eight years of experience and 16 years of education and experience in the healthcare field. She has a deep understanding of the performance and function of the human body.
Jennifer focuses on postural and structural realignment with the aid of various modalities. She specializes in relaxation, medium and deep tissue massage, postural and muscular reeducation, sports massage, myofascial release, trigger point, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation/stretching, pre/post natal massage including pelvic floor reeducation, hot stone, cupping and aromatherapy.
Jennifer enjoys helping people recover from varying acute and chronic conditions and injuries, seeing them become pain free quickly while helping them maintain optimum activity. Jennifer uses massage to de-stress and relax while healing, promote and maintain good health and is passionate about being a part of helping others on their healing journey.
Kaaren Brooks - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Kaaren Brooks is a 1994 graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto.In the 23 years of her practice, clients have varied in ages and occupations: from the young student to the professional student, and the office professional to the professional athlete. Whether for maintenance or a specific problem, she regards massage therapy as an integral piece of overall wellness
Rocco Cambareri - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Born and raised in Italy, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology graduating on the Dean's list in Sicily, Rocco's Canadian journey started almost 4 years ago. He obtained his 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma here in Calgary. Rocco uses a variety of therapeutic techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial cupping, trigger point release and PNF, to treat soft tissue injuries and dysfunctions, and for overall maintenance and performance. Rocco loves learning about the functional movements of the human body. His involvement in playing and coaching sports has helped him to better understand the connection between inefficient movement patterns and their negative impact on the body. Rocco is confident that his patients will appreciate the attentive and professional care that he provides, in collaboration with the Innovative Sport Medicine Team. When he is not helping people to stay healthy, you can find him on the basketball court or in the weight room, biking and travelling all around the world, or simply cooking a delicious Italian meal for his friends.
Lyndsay Oakes - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Lyndsay first graduated from UPEI in 2015 with a BScKin. In her time at UPEI she played 4 years for the UPEI panthers women’s hockey team and 1 year on their varsity rugby team. While being a member of the rugby team she switched roles on the hockey team by becoming their athletic trainer. After graduating from university, she decided to enroll at ICT Northumberland College to pursue a career as an RMT, with the goal of eventually working with elite athletes. She is currently a member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta and is a member of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapy Association as a Sport Massage Therapist Certified Candidate. In addition, she has passed the national certification exam allowing her to potentially work anywhere in Canada. While attending ICT, Lyndsay had the opportunity to work with the Halifax Hurricanes (NBL) and Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL).
Upon graduating from ICT Northumberland college in 2017, she has added a number of additional modalities to help her patients in the best possible way; such as advance sport massage, dynamic cupping and is a Certified Graston Provider. Although Lyndsay has a big background in sports, she also has experience treating MVA’s, WCB’s and any common issues due to day to day life. She is a versatile therapist, and is also trained in myofascial release, deep tissue, and TMJ dysfunction.
Barb Pilat - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Barb has been a registered massage therapist since 1997, when she graduated with an Honours Diploma from Kikkawa College. Barb believes a thorough assessment is an important step to providing individualized and effective treatment. Her skillful hands deliver a deep soft tissue massage enhanced with such techniques as myofascial and trigger point releases, joint mobilization, PNF stretching, neuromuscular therapy, manual lymph drainage and craniosacral therapy. Over the years she has experience working and successfully treating clients who have recovered from surgery, sport injuries, chronic pain, frozen shoulder, spinal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, TMJ, headaches and many other conditions.
Barb continually works towards expanding her knowledge in order to provide her clients with the greatest level of care possible. She believes massage therapy plays a key role in dealing with many of life’s stressors and is essential for long-term health and wellness.
